Patrick B. Mason, 64, of Staten Island, N.Y., passed away suddenly on September 4, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, warmth, and unwavering love.

Born on July 4, 1961, in Staten Island, Patrick came into the world like a true firecracker-full of energy, spirit, and charisma. His birthday not only marked the nation's independence but also foreshadowed a life lived with boldness and heart. Those who knew Patrick quickly learned that he was one of a kind. He had a magnetic personality-wild, hilarious, deeply loyal, and impossible to forget.

Patrick had a unique gift: he made everyone feel like family. He was a hugger, a jokester, and a storyteller. He had a library of one-liners and funny phrases that he'd pull out at the perfect time to make people laugh until they cried. But beyond the jokes and wild charm was a man with a heart so big it could fill a room. He never said goodbye without an "I love you," and his compassion and generosity touched everyone lucky enough to know him.

A man of many passions, Patrick found peace by the water. He loved fishing-whether it was a solo trip to clear his mind or a group outing with loved ones, the ocean was his happy place. He also had a lifelong love of horse racing and spent many days playing the horses at the OTB, enjoying the thrill and camaraderie that came with it. Florida, particularly Fort Myers, held a special place in his heart. He cherished his time there and dreamed of calling it home someday.

Family was everything to Patrick. He is survived by his loving children: Kristine Mason, Lisa Mason, and Joseph Mason. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Anabella Acevedo, Jayden Acevedo, and Valentino Careccia, all of which he loved immensely and brought him endless joy and pride. He is also survived by his siblings: Laura Gordon, Thomas Mason, Linda Mowbray, and Eileen Lupo, with whom he shared countless memories and a deep bond. His many nieces and nephews will remember Uncle Pat as the fun-loving, larger-than-life figure who always showed up with a smile and a story.

Patrick was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Alice Mason (Deignan), who passed on July 6, 2001. The love and respect he held for her never faded, and they are now reunited in peace.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Patrick's life and legacy at Forest North Funeral Chapel, located at 747 Forest Avenue, Staten Island, N.Y. 10310, on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

In honor of Patrick's joyful spirit, attendees are encouraged to come prepared to share stories, laugh, cry, and remember a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He will be forever missed but never forgotten.
