Patrick Thomas Murray, age 76, of Eau Claire, WI, died Wednesday April 30, 2025, after being in Hospice Care in Owen, WI. Patrick was born June 8, 1948, in Minneapolis, MN to the late Frank T. and Joan M. Murray, Lake Crystal, MN.

Pat attended Mankato State University, Mankato, MN as a Theater major. He had major roles in many plays at MSU, notably Man and Superman, which opened in the new Performing Arts Center (now known as Ted Paul Theater) in 1967, as well as Brigadoon and South Pacific. In 1969, he had a prominent role in Bye Bye Birdie as part of a USO group touring military bases under the direction of Ted Paul. Pat continued his acting career in various community theaters, mainly in Wisconsin, Illinois and Florida. One of his favorite roles was King Arthur in Camelot.

To Pat, life was a stage; he lived his life fully and vibrantly. He reminded us often of a line from Camelot; “Don’t let it be forgot/That once there was a spot/For one brief shining moment/…” He was a dreamer.

An avid hunter, Pat was in his element outdoors. He shared his love for flying with his family and friends, piloting from place to place. His business interests included underwater salvage in Minocqua, WI. He was also a brilliant salesman.

Pat will always be remembered for his love of entertaining with guitar and songs wherever family and friends gathered.

Patrick is survived by his two children, Kate Murray and Sam Murray, (FL) and three siblings, Jim Murray (Linda) Fresno, CA, Marge (Al) Murray Davis, Lake Crystal, MN and Mike (Dee) Murray, Breezy Point, MN and many nieces and nephews.

Pat is preceded in death by his sister Mary Hughes (WI) in 2021 and his parents Joan Murray in 1996 and Frank Murray in 1999.

There will be a family Celebration of Life summer 2025. Pat will be interred at Lake Crystal Cemetery.
