Patrick Keith Nichols

March 17, 1960 – September 10, 2025

Patrick Keith Nichols, beloved son, father, and brother, passed away peacefully in hospice care on the morning of September 10, 2025, after a long battle with illness.

Born on March 17, 1960, Patrick lived a life marked by resilience, deep feeling, and devotion to those he loved. He worked as a skilled roofer, taking great pride in his craft. Some of the Chicago landmarks he helped build and repair include the Sears Tower and the John Hancock Building.

Patrick was a man who found joy in the simple things - taking his daughter, nieces and nephews fishing, driving his pickup truck and corvette, listening to the music he loved (especially Pink Floyd and The Eagles) and sharing faith in Christ with others. These moments, however ordinary they may have seemed, were the ones where Patrick shared the very best of himself.

Throughout his life, Patrick faced many hardships, but he never stopped loving his family fiercely. He was especially proud of how he cared for his mother in her final years, honoring her with steadfast devotion.

Patrick is survived by his sister, Julie Lynn Nichols, and his daughter, Reyna Ann Sura (formerly Jacqueline Ann Nichols), who will forever cherish the good memories they shared and honor his life by carrying forward his strength, humor, and love.

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

- Psalm 23:6
