Patrick Pascal O’Neill

Patrick Pascal O'Neill, 93, of Dumont, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025 with his children
and grandchildren at his side. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Anne (née Joyce) O'Neill in 2011.
He is survived by his three loving children, Michael (Stacey) O'Neill, Marie O'Neill, and Patricia
(Douglas) Jer-Kovich. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Douglas, Ryan, Katelyn,
Benjamin, Amanda, and Jack. Patrick will be dearly missed by his beloved family and friends.
He will be remembered for his love of fishing, his joy in visiting his birthplace of Galway, Ireland, and
his lifelong appreciation of Premiere League Soccer and reading. As a man of faith, he attended daily
Mass at St. Mary's Church, where he found comfort and community. He was also a familiar and
welcome presence at Dixon Homestead Library. His quiet passions, steady faith, and thoughtful nature
will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Patrick was born on July 25, 1932 in Galway, Ireland to Mary Griffin and Michael O'Neill. He proudly
served the United States Army prior to being employed as a Pressman for the Daily News and The New
York Times.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 4-8PM at Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161
Washington Avenue, Dumont, NJ 07628.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 11AM at St. Mary's Church, 280 Washington
Avenue, Dumont, NJ 07628.
Patrick will be laid to rest beside his dearest Anne at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
