Patrick H. Poole

Deacon Patrick Henry Poole, Sr., 79, was a lifelong resident of New Haven, Connecticut. He was born to the union of Augustus Poole, Sr. and Lucille Blanchard Poole Washington on November 7, 1946. He attended the New Haven Public School System, earning his high school diploma. Upon graduation, he served proudly in the U.S. Army. He spent many tours of duty in the Far East.
He was predeceased by his parents; and three brothers, Augustus (Al), William, and David. He is survived by his four sons, Patrick H. Poole, Jr. (Holly Washington Poole), Lloyd Patrick Poole, Marvin Edward Poole, and William Markeefe Poole; grandchildren, Serenity Poole, Sincere Poole, Elijah Parizo, Camille Poole, and Malaya Poole; three sisters, Teresa Randolph, Shirley Robinson, and Janet Poole Carolina, all of New Haven; former wives, Jacquelyn B. Hayter and Yvonne Michelle Keen-Poole; sisters-in-law, Deborah Poole and Evelyn Poole; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Patrick was an advent sports fan, loving to play football and basketball. Aside from sport, his favorite hobbies included collecting old coins and putting together jigsaw puzzles. He also loved to cook. Patrick gave his life to his lord, Jesus Christ in the year 1987. He was ordained a Deacon in 1990, spending most of his time counseling young people about the dangers they would have to face in this life, but they can always count on Jesus to see them through.
I'll miss that part of life, but as the scripture goes "To be absent of the body is to be present with the Lord."
