Patrick J Rafferty Sr.

Patrick J. Rafferty, 59, of the Tinley/Orland Park area was born in Chicago to the late Thomas and Bridget Rafferty, and passed away November 22, 2023. Beloved and devoted husband of Dreama Rafferty (nee Irby); loving father of Sarah, Patrick Jr., and Katie Rafferty; PROUD papa of Landon and Zoey; dear brother of Joann (Dave) Reed, Tom (Kathy) Rafferty, Billy Rafferty, Jim (Shelley) Rafferty, and David (Gina) Rafferty; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Patrick was a graduate of Victor J. Andrew High School and continued his education throughout his 40+ years at Palos Hospital, where he was a lifelong dedicated employee and friend to many. A proud father, and papa who loved his family, and cherished every moment with them. Pat enjoyed fishing often in the Ozarks and Wisconsin, with his friends and family. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and exploring countless craft breweries as another hobby. He was also known as being an avid sports fan. You could always find him watching his favorite sports teams from the Bears, the Hawks, to the White Sox, and even the Iowa Hawkeyes. Pat was a selfless, caring person, who always put others needs ahead of his own. He was loved and will be missed by many.
A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 65 Old Frankfort Way on Wednesday November 29th from 3-8pm with a chapel service the following day to be attended by immediate family and personal friends only.
