Patrick Schiferl, age 69 of Gatesville passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
Patrick Eugene Schiferl was born on July 8, 1954 in Holyoke, Colorado to the late Lawrence and Gwendolyn Lamborn Schiferl. He grew up and attended school in both Pueblo, Colorado and Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 1972, he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Hood. He married Sandra Dee Branham on August 8, 1976 and the two spent the next 45 years together. He served as a master electrician in Colorado Springs until 1990 and then moved to Seattle where he finished his career. In 2020, he received a kidney donation from his son Jonathan. Later that year, he and Sandra moved to Gatesville, Texas to be closer to Jonathan and his family. Patrick enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening and raising orphaned lambs. He loved his family deeply and got great enjoyment from spending time with his grandchildren. His last words were “I love you”.
Patrick was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sons, Jonathan Schiferl and wife Becky, and Jason Schiferl; grandchildren, Kaleb, Ivan, Joy and Zoey Schiferl; brothers, Michael and Joseph Schiferl; and Sandra Schiferl.
