William Schiferl Obituary
Bill was born on May 4, 1935 in Watertown, WI to Harry and Esther (Winkler) Schiferl. He grew up in Jefferson and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1953. He married Yvonne Brychell on June 25, 1955. Together, they raised their five "Favorite" children. He learned his trade of carpentry from his father-in-law, Peter Brychell, and established Schiferl Builders which then became Schiferl & Sons.
Bill will be remembered for his deep faith. In 2007 he became a Deacon of the American Catholic Church. Most recently he was a member of The Chapel in Jefferson where he continued to deepen and share his faith in Jesus, and supported others in theirs.
He enjoyed fishing, card playing, golf (made a hole in 1), and Wii golf and bowling. He was a musician, creating music, singing, the guitar, harmonica, square dance calling and more. He enjoyed flying, archery, tennis, horseshoes and making hand-crafted windmills.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Yvonne; twin-brother, Joe; and sisters, Mary Astell, Gertrude "Tee" Curry, and Rosalie "Fritzie" Wilinski.
He is survived by his children, Shawn (Dan) Fredricks, Lee (Jill) Schiferl, Shelley (Ron) Jurewicz, Todd (Kim) Schiferl and Steven Schiferl; grandchildren Morgan Schiferl-Swanum, Tucker Fredricks, Mallory Rivera, Tanner Schiferl; great-grandchildren Sena, Koa Fredricks; step-grandchildren Bryan Jurewicz, Trent Jurewicz, Kari Cremascoli; and great-step-grandchildren Avaree, Mason, Kitra, Louis, Wilhelmina Jurewicz and Nevan, Miles, Calia Cremascoli.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 12PM at The Chapel, 445 Warner Road, Whitewater, WI. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10AM until the time of service.
Memorials in Bill's name may be made to Rainbow Hospice.
A special thank you to Rainbow Hospice for their support and guidance, The Chapel community, the Thursday evening prayer group, family and friends that visited, fed us, sang, brought flowers and supported Bill, our dear father, through the end of his earthly journey.

I remember Uncle Bill had a bar that he would do gymnastics on and there also was a trampoline built into the ground. Another time at a Family Reunion picnic that we had on the homestead - I went to talk to my dad, and it was Uncle Bill not my dad, I think I was 8 maybe. In later life anytime I came to Wisconsin visiting with Uncle Bill was always a great time ! Loads of Love Robin
