Patrick Shane Obituary
PATRICK JOHN SHANE, age 65, of Worthington, died Sunday, April 21, 2024, at his home. He was born March 1, 1959, in Winona, to Leslie and Theresa (Sloan) Shane. He attended Worthington High School.
Pat married Pamela Decker in 1981. The couple lived in Worthington and later divorced. Pat moved to Mesa, AZ, where he took care of his elderly mother until she passed. He then back to Worthington. He was self-employed working in the veterinary clinic for his father. He also worked in construction and for the Worthington Daily Globe.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, hockey, the Minnesota Twins and spending time with his daughters and many grandchildren.
Pat is survived by his two daughters, Tess Shane, Rushmore; and Lisa (fiance, Bradley) Shane, Worthington; nine grandchildren, Christian Shane, Antonia Vallejo, Ariala Vallejo, Avonta Chavarria, Kaden Hanks, Noah Hanks, Dilchur Kingsang, Jana Obak and Franklin Hindenburg; sister, Mary Shane, Sioux Falls, SD; sister-in-law, Sharon Shane, Mesa, AZ; and nieces & nephews, Kelly, Shannon, Tyler, Kendall, Emma, Kael, Cody, Easton, Chelsea, Tiffany and Janet.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Ashanta Chavarria in 2004; brother, Michael Shane; nephew, Jamie Decker; and his ex-wife, Pamela.
Memorial service will be 4:30 PM Friday, May 3, at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington. A time of fellowship will one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Burial will take place at a later date.
