Patrick McIntosh Stevens

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Patrick McIntosh Stevens on December 17, 2025, at the age of 56. Pat died at the UConn Medical Center in Farmington, CT., with his brother, Scott, by his side.
Patrick was born to Peter B. and Patricia B. Stevens in Summit, NJ. Pat was the youngest of five siblings: Kathleen, Peter B. Jr., Michael, Scott, and brother-in-law to Denise, Trudy, and Dawn. He also had a giving and generous heart when it came to his nieces and nephews: Sarah, Brendan, Cali, Chase, David, Jenna, Sinclair, and Blake III. He was their biggest, most loyal fan. He was always there for a game or event nearby.
Pat grew up in Cranford and Skillman, NJ, where he participated in all sports, but hockey was his favorite. He attended public schools until he entered Lawrenceville, then Roanoke College, and completed his education at Rutgers University, focusing on Turf Management. He always felt blessed to be in a profession he loved and have the opportunity to be a golf course superintendent at places like Incline Village, Hidden Valley, and Avon. He was a member of the Professional Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
Since the age of two, Pat struggled with Type 1 diabetes. He underwent kidney and pancreas transplants, only to succumb to cancer of the throat. In addition, a month before his death, Pelle, his Vizsla rescue support dog, succumbed to cancer. A tribute to Pat would not be complete without mentioning The Blues Traveler. He made it to every concert that he could those gentlemen kept him entertained.
We are left with many cherished memories that will carry us through this sorrowful time. While we will miss his warmth, smile, and laughter, we take comfort in knowing that he will be watching over us, rooting for us from above.
