Patrick Ivan Sturdavant, a beloved husband, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30th, 2025, in Fremont, MI. Born on June 25th, 1953, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Patrick lived a fulfilling life marked by love, service, and passion.

A dedicated mechanic, Patrick took pride in his work, always applying his skill and expertise with precision and care. Beyond his vocation, he served honorably in the United States Army, embodying a spirit of dedication and commitment to his country. Patrick's love for the outdoors was evident in his passions-fishing, camping, and working in his yard were among his favorite pastimes. He had a special affection for working on cars, a hobby that brought him joy and provided him with countless cherished memories.

Patrick's life was defined by his family, to whom he remained steadfastly devoted. He is survived by his cherished wife, Diane Marie Sturdavant, who resides in Fremont, MI. He leaves behind two loving stepsons, David (and wife Laurie) and Michael (and wife Susan), as well as nine step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. Patrick is also survived by his brothers, Dale Sturdavant, Jr. and Tommy Sturdavant, his sister, Sue Sturdavant, and numerous cousins who cherished his companionship and kindness. He will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-laws, Juanita (Ray) Wilder, Sandy & Chas, nephews Dale Sturdavant, Karl Sturdavant, Tony Nickles, Casey Nickles, and niece Jenny Ottaren. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Sturdavant Sr., and his mother, Eleanor Bertha, whom he treasured deeply.

A celebration of Patrick's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor his memory and the enduring legacy of love and strength he leaves behind. Arrangements are entrusted to Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel.
