Patrick John Waters

Age 85, Patrick John Waters of Whitehall (formerly of Mt. Washington, Brookline, Beechview, and the South Side) passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025. Born on August 1, 1940, Pat was the proud father of Suzie, Richie (Dana), and Paul; the beloved Grandpap and PapPap P to Emily, Lily, Riley, and Coby; and the fun uncle to several Pittsburgh and Cali nieces and nephews. He was a loving brother to Paul (Eva) Waters and Joan (Art) Marizzaldi. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Betty Waters, and his sister, Joyce, whom he loved dearly.

Pat (Ace to his buddies in his younger years), was a graduate of St. Justin's in Mt. Washington and a proud U.S. Army Veteran. Throughout his life, he worked in several vocations, including as a Pittsburgh Press truck driver, optician, car wash manager, and at St. Mary of Mercy Church in downtown Pittsburgh.

Pat was known for his quick wit, love of storytelling, and ability to make others laugh. He always had a joke ready and enjoyed sharing interesting facts and current events. He loved listening to his radio programs, watching the news and classic movies, and reading the Farmer's Almanac. Pat had a pure appreciation of nature and was especially fond of spontaneous road trips.

Pat will be remembered for his humor, warmth, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service will be on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 10:30 am, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the service start time. (Any earlier you may interfere with prior funeral).
