Patrick White Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Click Funeral Home - Farragut Chapel on Dec. 6, 2024.
Reverend Patrick William White, age 70, went to be with Jesus on December 3, 2024. Rev. White is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sandra Miniard White, his brother and sister-in-law Jai and Serene White, his twin sister LouAnn Harvey, and his younger sister, Joan White and sister-in-law, Belinda Balsinger. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, and great nephews. Rev. White was preceded in death by his son, Steven William White, a stepson, Chuck Williams, and sister, Janice White Donahue.
Rev. White devoted his life to the care of those less fortunate and in need. After graduating from Fulton High School, he joined the Navy during the pullout from Vietnam. After being honorably discharged, he worked as a computer technician, receiving numerous honors for outstanding field service work. Rev. White then changed careers, becoming a licensed substance abuse counselor. After only a few years working at halfway houses and treatment centers, Rev. White began his own venture starting a halfway house program called Steps House. He single-handedly grew the operation from seven homeless, addicted men and two condemned houses to one of the largest, most successful organizations in the southeastern U.S.
During his last years running the operation, he was called to serve the Lord as a preacher. He first began at Cokesbury United Methodist Church as a Stephen Minister, followed by filling in at various churches when asked, and was eventually ordained as a minister. Rev. White retired from the Steps House, became involved in the Recovery Church Movement, and eventually opened All the Way Community Church, where he served as the Senior Pastor until his health began to fail.
Rev. White touched the lives of thousands of men and women, assisting them in attaining sobriety and serving as a spiritual guide to many through spiritual direction. He was known for his loving spirit and outstanding generosity. He completed an internship with Infusion Ministries and has been an active member ever since.
Rev. White's funeral will be at Clicks Funeral Home in Farragut on Sunday, December 8th, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Receiving of friends will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, tax deductible donations can be mailed to:
