Patrick Edward Wright, age 86, of Akron went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 21st, 2025.

He was born in Folsom WV. He married Mary Margaret Vandevender on June 14, 1965, in Pine Grove WV. He lived most of his life in Akron OH.

Patrick was a retired machinist and construction truck driver who was remembered as energetic, hard-working, dependable, and a nice guy. Gardening and woodworking were hobbies. He was faithful to the Lord and enjoyed church fellowship. Family members and friends appreciated his company.

Most Importantly, Edward was a loving husband who adored his wife. Mary and Edward were best friends for more than 60 years.

Preceded in death by his parents Orange Donald Wright and Ruby Violet Lipscomb Wright, and sister Rose Ann Channel (Floyd).

Edward is survived by his loving wife Mary, daughter Sharon Wright (David), and daughter Barb Hagler (Brian). His sisters Maxine Snodgrass (Joe), Geraldine Titus (Bob), and Eva Lou Dulaney (Earl). His brothers Jim (Doris), and Tom (Bev).

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from noon until 1 pm followed by the memorial service. Both are at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305).
