It is with deep sadness that the Williams family announces the passing of Patrishia Cathleen Williams, 70, of Puyallup, WA, on August 16th, 2025. Patrishia Cathleen Campbell or Cathy, was born in Ogden, Utah on March 29th, 1955, where she spent the majority of her childhood and graduated from Ogden High School in 1973. That same year, she met and fell instantly in love with her soulmate, David Jo'n Williams whom she eventually married in 1974. When David graduated from Air Force Basic Training and Firefighter School, Cathy moved to Tacoma, Washington where she was a treasured member of not just one, but two families. The first was the one Cathy and David built when they welcomed their two sons Kristopher and Logan. The second was at the fire station at McChord Air Force Base where Cathy, Kristopher, and Logan celebrated many a holiday and where she was famous for frequently arriving at the station with over 30 pints of Dairy Queen vanilla soft serve ice cream for the firefighters. Cathy not only worked hard as Mom for her boys at home and at the station, but she worked very hard as a professional as well. First she was a manager and traveling training supervisor up and down the West Coast for Prestige Stations. Upon completing her degree at Pierce College in Puyallup, WA, she became a Human Resources Specialist for multiple organizations including Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. In her down time, Cathy enjoyed traveling to far off places with David whether by airplane to places like Cancun, Mexico, or on Harley-Davidson adventures to places like Sturgis, South Dakota and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. She was quiet yet loved competition as her and David travelled the country to compete in Country Western Dance festivals. She was also a savvy and skilled card player, routinely knocking out player after player at the poker tables here at home as well as those in Reno and Las Vegas. Cathy absolutely LOVED the color purple; whether it is was being loud and rowdy as a 47-year season ticket holder at University of Washington Husky football games, making the yearly pilgrimage for the peace and beauty of the Lavender Festival in Sequim, WA, or even when her two boys would pluck her favorite flower the lilac on the way home. As great as these things were, nothing meant more to her than being a mom and a grandma as she poured every ounce of love and affection to her kids and grandkids no matter how busy or tired. To friends and family alike she was known for always being kind and friendly to everyone she met. She is survived by her children: Kristopher Williams, Logan (Christina) Williams, and 8 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Judy, Rhona, Nancy, and Shannon and her brothers Ronnie and Johnnie. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday August 28th at Berean Baptist Church, 9702 128th St. E., Puyallup, WA. There will also be a graveside service at 1:00 pm at the Orting Cemetery, 19600 Orting Kapowsin Hwy E, Orting, WA 98360.
