Patsy Joan Blackwell Cannon, born May 5, 1952, of Salem, wife of the late John Henry Cannon, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 2, 2025. A native of Oconee County, SC, Patsy was the daughter of the late William Bural Blackwell and Annie Rae Scott Blackwell of Walhalla, SC. Mrs. Patsy was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. She loved her family, and she was a very strong foundation of which her family could lean upon. She adored her flowers, music and grandchildren. Mrs. Cannon is survived by her sister: Nancy Eller (Jackie); daughters: Cindy Chism (Joey), Tina Martin (Scott) and Amanda Riley (Matthew) all of Salem; and her son: Alan Cannon of Six Mile, SC; grandchildren: Randall Martin, Beth Martin, Anna Cannon, Deliah Riley, John Riley, Kiayah Riley, Kaden Riley, Madalynn Riley, Adrianna Riley and Arianna Riley; and her great-granddaughter: Raelynn Martin. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cannon is preceded in death by her infant daughter: Sheila Grant; her sisters: Margaret Blackwell and Myra Blackwell; and her brother: Clarence Blackwell. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 6, 2025, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Cannon-Martin Family Cemetery in Salem, SC. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Monday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted.
