Patsy A. Forbes, 83 of Bartonville Illinois died on February 12, 2023 at FonduLac rehabilitation in East Peoria Illinois. Born on November 3, 1939 in Osceola Township Illinois to the late Leslie R. and Dorothy I. (Jones) Forbes, she married Robert Barr on February 7 1956. Patsy was a former over the road truck driver and worked at several manufacturing facilities, including Champion Furnace, Herschel’s, Caterpillar in East Peoria and retiring from Morton distribution center in 2004. Over the years, she was a proud member of UAW 974, Teamsters 627, Laundry Workers 171, and Sheet Metal Workers 479.
Patsy is survive by daughter Shirley Weber of Peoria; sisters Lois Hedgepath of Bradford Illinois, Mary Hahn of Winter Garden Florida, Dorothy Harris of Kewanee Illinois, Judy Bishop of Kewanee Illinois; brothers Lester Forbes of Kewanee and Robert Forbes of Bradford; grand children Aaron Weber of Peoria; great grandchildren Aariana Weber of Bloomington, Nicolas Weber of Peoria Heights Sophia Weber of Peoria Heights. She was also preceded in death by her infant son, Keith Peterson Jr.; sisters Doris Light, Betty Burnett, Jannie Lucas, Barbara Forbes, Sharon Forbes, Nancy, Forbes; and brothers Raymond and Donald Forbes.
Patsy was an avid bowler, belonging to the ABWA, PWBA and IBWA. She also was a CB enthusiast, especially after her years of trucking, and enjoyed RV traveling and country music. She belonged to the Caterpillar Campers Club and Peoria Moose Lodge.
Cremation rights have been accorded and graveside services will be held in at Osceola Grove Cemetery at a later date. Memorials can be made to Bradford IL Rescue Squad or donors choice and cards can be sent from and condolences left at Illinicremation.com
