Patsy Ruth “Patti” Golden, 88, passed away peacefully at her home in Altus, Oklahoma on Sunday, December 24, 2023. A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 8, 2024 in the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Patti was born on June 9, 1935 in Roosevelt, Oklahoma to William Nelson “Willie” Dunegan and Cue Belle (Freeman). She attended school in Roosevelt and Snyder, graduating with the Class of 1952. At the age of 15, she met Lloyde E. “Buddy” Golden at the drug store where she worked. They married on November 7, 1953, in Wichita Falls, Texas. To this 69-year union two sons were born, Chad Randall and Chet Ray. Patti and Buddy began their life together as a young Air Force family. They moved to El Dorado, Kansas where Buddy worked for a Ford dealership, honing his skills to open a family owned and operated, used automotive dealership in Kansas before relocating to Bowie, Texas. They ran a successful business in Texas before retirement in 2018 when they relocated back to Altus to be near family. Patti was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Altus. She enjoyed flying with Buddy and listening to music.
Her loving husband, Buddy; parents, Willie and Cue Belle; and in-laws, Mack and Agnes Golden preceded her in death. Those left to honor Patti’s memory are her sons, Chad and wife, Linda and Chet and wife, Jayme; four grandchildren, Louie Golden, Cade Golden, Calen Golden, and Cierra Gilbert; ten great grandchildren, Charlie Golden, Carlee Golden, Ava Golden, Wyatt McConnell, Zialas Kooper, Cade Eugene Golden, Verity Golden, Kynzley Golden, Coy Gilbert, and Ava Gilbert; sister, Wilma Strange; and many wonderful friends.
