Patsy Hoyt Obituary
Patsy is survived by her husband of 58 years Don, sons David Hoyt, Michael (Sarah) Hoyt, Grandchildren; Zachary, Kendyll, Avery, Tiffany, Kadyn, Great Grandkids, Gauge, Eleanor and Adaline. Also survived by siblings; Dale, Bernell and Michele.
Preceded in death by her parents Bufford and Evelyn Boyd and siblings; Sue Ann, Walter Lee and Patricia Ann.
Patsy met the love of her life Don Hoyt cruising with her girlfriends in Pullman. They married and together raised two sons David and Michael. She was the best listener, never one to judge. Patsy was caring, and enjoyed bowling with Kathy, talking on the phone with friends and family, going to the casino with Gail and fishing in Arkansas. She loved music and dancing; in 1964 she won the "Chubby Checker Twist and Shout" Dance Contest at the Michigan Theatre here in South Haven. The grand prize was a perm at the "Pink Poodle Salon," which she gave to her mom. Patsy was more than just an aunt, grandma and sister, she along with Don are the glue that holds the family together. She loved her family dearly and will never be forgotten.
Visitation for Patsy will be held on Wednesday August 21, 2024 from 12 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1 p.m. at the Filbrandt Chapel, 1076, S. Bailey Ave, South Haven, Michigan 49090. Pastor Eric Jarvis will officiate. Patsy will be laid to rest at Chambers Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Filbrandt Chapel-Starks Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services. 269-637-0333.
