Jay Olin Hoyt, 49, of Ellington, Missouri, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 26th, 2026. He was born January 27th, 1977 in Montgomery, Alabama to Danny Cleon and Cynthia Kay (Pilgrim) Hoyt. He and his only sibling, Kristi, were one year and 364 days apart in age. They shared a lifetime of birthday parties together, but also a lifetime of birthday memories. Jay was a 1995 graduate of Stigler High School.

A proud Choctaw native and child of Choctaw Artisan, Cyndi Hoyt, Jay was a creative soul and would always jot down his thoughts and ideas when they would cross his mind. Mom got in trouble many times for throwing pieces of paper in the trash that she thought were unimportant pieces of paper. "Mom! That scribble was important!" His scribbles and creativity lead him to obtain a degree in Architecture from OU. he recently left a longtime position with INCOG (Indian Nation Council of Government) planning for the city of Tulsa.

Jay is survived by his parents, Cyndi and Danny Hoyt; his sister and brother-in-law, Kristi Danielle and Jeff Fagg; nieces, Jana Kay Fagg and partner, Zaya Reed; Haley Fagg and children, Luke Shawn, Leia Clair, and Lilly Danielle; and Stephanie Michelle Fagg and partner Mason Self; Grandparents, JW and Mary Oleta (Folsom) Pilgrim; Aunt Cindy (Sam) and Uncle Jerry Pilgrim; Aunt Pat and Uncle Tony Miller; many cousins and great-cousins; Jay's very special friend and brother from another mother, Dustin Pobst; Many other family and friends too many to mention.
