WILLIAM SPAFFORD Obituary
He married the love of his life Charlotte Weeks on February 14, 1961. They later moved to Oklahoma in May of 1972., where they made their home together. He worked as the Porum Police Chief in Porum for over 20 years. He then went to work for Warner Police Department where he retired in the late 1990's.
He loved to fish, do wood work, mow his lawn and take care of his plants and flowers. He enjoyed telling stories, and scrolling Facebook.
He also enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially loved his grandkids and great grandkids.
He is Survived by: One son: Jimmy Spafford Jr & wife Alice of Porum; 2 daughters: Kelly Bivens & husband Ritchie of Muskogee, Tammy Spafford of Porum; bonus daughter - Christia Spafford of Muskogee.
Grandchildren: Mandy Smith & husband Jason, Alisha Holder & husband Wes, Jacob Girty & wife
Courtney, Rachel Ledbetter & husband Rocky, James Spafford III & wife Melody, Sequoyah Girty & wife Diana, Holly Chavez & husband Salvador, Deborah Jones, Josiah Spafford
Great Grandchildren: Jaelyn & Jentry Smith, Wylie Holder, Mayleigh Girty, Ava & Austin Ledbetter, Brooklyn & Bostyn Girty, Rowdy & Jozalyn Chavez, Keaton & Haylie
One sister: Jeannie Reynoso and husband Cheppy of North Fork, Ca.; Brother in Law; Hershel Weeks of Philomath, Oregon.
He's Proceeded by his Parents; Percy and Opal Spafford. His wife; Charlotte Spafford. One daughter: Terry Girty. Sisters: Betty & Evelyn, Brothers: Dick & Gail
Graveside Services will be held at Coleman Cemetery, Porum, Oklahoma on March 10th, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. Officiating; Pastor Wayne Lindsey. Pallbearers; Jacob Girty, Sequoyah Girty, James Spafford, Austin Ledbetter, Wylie Holder, Jason Smith, Wes Holder, Rowdy Girty. Honorary Pallbearers; Josiah Spafford, Bostyn Girty, Ritchie Bivens, Rocky Ledbetter, Salvador Chavez.
