Patsy Jean Manwill
July 18, 1942 – June 19, 2025
A new Angel was called to heaven.
Patsy was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother. She was a friend to all she met, and she dedicated her life to helping others.
Patsy was predeceased by her parents, Vernon and Margaret Knowles; sisters, Rheva Irene and Verna Kay; husband, Glade Manwill; and children, Fernando, Benito, Donna and Vickie Lee Moreno. She is survived by her children, Rose Zavala (Joaquin), Vernon Moreno (Deanna), Felipe Moreno, Manuel Moreno Jr. and Gloria Arias; niece, Ann Neumann (Paul); nephew, Kenneth Wicks Jr. (Yvonne); grandchildren, Joaquin Jr., David, and Roberto Zavala, Amber and Jenna Moreno, Eliseo, Alejandro and Mikel Arias, Fernando Moreno Jr., Sarah Moreno and Lisa Sabia; 12 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Patsy had polio at age 12 and learned to walk all over again. She was an accomplished pianist, organist, saxophonist at an early age.
Patsy worked part-time at HeadStart, worked in the field picking pears and walnuts, worked at the Farmers Market in Lakeport part-time, sold Tupperware many years and worked at the Downtown Finley Post Office and the United States Postal Service for over 24 years ending her career as Postmaster.
She was also famously known to many as Ella Mae Humdinger and The Grannies. When she married Glade Manwill in 1989, he was added to the group as Thadeus V. Foghorn. She traveled and performed singing telegrams, skits and wrote songs telling an individual's life story.
Patsy had a profitable business known as PJ's creations. She made full and half aprons, bibs and Christmas socks. She enjoyed selling her items at local craft fairs and at the Kelseyville Pear Festival for many years.
Her love of church was evident in her daily life. She attended Sunday services and lived the word of God. She prayed for many in the early mornings to start her day. She assisted when she saw the need, finding food and clothing for anyone. She called or visited those needing a word of encouragement.
Patsy retired from the Postal Service in 1994, and she and Glade purchased an RV traveling throughout California, many states and Canada visiting friends and family.
She received excellent care from Travis Air Force Base over the years and The Meadows of Napa Valley the last 2 years.
She was a lifelong resident of Lake County. She will always be remembered for her gift of gab, her love of helping others and the church she attended.
May Ms. Ella Mae Humdinger live on in all of our hearts!
Funeral Service will be held at Church of Latter-day Saints in Lakeport on Thursday, July 10,2025 at 10:00 AM. A gathering will follow and then interment at Kelseyville Cemetery.

I was a forklift driver in the pear orchard when Patsy picked pears. She was married to Manuel Moreno at the time who was my dad´s full time hired hand. Later, when she was married to Glade, I was her tax preparer. She was just a wonderful joyous lady. She lived a long and wonderful life that touched so many people. Rest in peace old friend.

Patsy´s a friend in Christ to my daughter and I. She will be greatly missed by both of us. We enjoyed music, games and traveling around with Patsy. We especially appreciated her joy and consistency in prayer. Patsy will always be remembered with much love in our hearts. We thank Our Lord for our time with Patsy.

I had the pleasure of knowing PATSY for 70 years. She was a beautiful human being, in every way. One word would describe her: unforgetable!
