1951 - 2026
Dec 5, 1951 - Mar 18, 2026
William George Manwill, lovingly known to many as "Will The Thrill Manwill," passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on March 18, 2026. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.
Will was born on December 5, 1951, in Martinez, California, to Bill and Darlene Manwill. He grew up in Concord, California, alongside his three siblings. Will was a proud graduate of Clayton Valley High School in 1970.
In 1970, Will answered the call to serve his country and joined the U.S. Navy, where he would eventually be stationed in Spain and Port Hueneme, California. After the Navy, he spent a 30-year career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where his work would take him to Hurricane Katrina relief and three tours in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.
When he was 11 years old, Will met Kathy Martinez, his neighbor from across the street. The two continued to form a strong bond through friendship and eventually married in 1972. Together, they raised three children in Newport, Washington.
Will is survived by Kathy, his wife of 54 years; his children, Veronica (Roby), Will (Michael), and Beatrice (Michael); nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He also leaves behind his mother (Darlene); siblings, Carol, Sue, and Howard; and many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were touched by his generosity, warmth, and humor. He was preceded in death by his father (Bill).
A celebration of life will be held on April 11, 2026, at 12:00 PM at The One* Church (6311 E Mt. Spokane Park Dr.) in Mead, Washington. All are welcome to attend, celebrate, and share stories of Will's life.
