Patsy Reaves Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Peters Funeral Home - Wasco on Jan. 2, 2026.
Patsy Raylene Reaves, affectionately known to many as Pat, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, in Wasco, California. Born on July 14, 1938, in Sadie, Oklahoma, Pat's life was a testament to the love and dedication she poured into her family and community.

Pat was the beloved wife of the late Pete Reaves and a devoted mother to her children, Allen Reaves, Cheryl and husband; Mark Stephens. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Karen Andersen, Christy and husband David Avis, Aaron Stephens, and her adored great-grandchildren, Chloe Andersen, Celine Andersen, Adalynn Higuera, Reagan Avis, Berkley Avis, and Sloan Avis. Pat also held a special place in the hearts of her numerous nieces and nephews, including Ray and Randy Gibson, who will fondly remember her nurturing spirit.

For over 40 years, Pat served as a teacher's aide in Wasco, where she touched the lives of countless students with her patience and wisdom. Her passion for education and her unwavering support of the children she worked with left an indelible mark on the community.

Pat's interests were as warm and inviting as her personality. She found joy in spending time with her family, creating memories that they will hold close forever. An artist at heart, she had a talent for painting ceramics, bringing beauty into the world and into the homes of those she loved. Pat's homemade bread was legendary, a symbol of her love and care for her family and friends. She also had a passion for travel, exploring new places, and experiencing the wonders of the world with an open heart.

Those who knew Pat would describe her as loving, courageous, and selfless. Her strength was quiet but formidable, guiding her family through life's challenges with grace. Her selflessness was evident in every aspect of her life, always putting the needs of others before her own. Pat's love was a constant, unwavering force that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

As we bid farewell to Pat, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and generosity. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories shared by those who loved her. Pat's influence will continue to be felt, and her spirit will remain a guiding light for her family and all who were touched by her kindness. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and courage will endure.
