Patsy (Rhyner) Brown

January 25th, 1947- August 11th 2025

Patsy Brown, age 78, of Wausau, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 25, 1947, in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, to the late Betty and Garland Ryhner, Patsy grew into the kindest and most selfless soul. She was known for her big heart, her witty sense of humor, and, as her family will fondly recall, a touch of stubbornness that was uniquely hers. On July 20, 1968, she married the love of her life, Dennis Brown. Together, they shared 57 beautiful years of marriage and raised two daughters, Deborah Brown and Susan Wolfe (Brown). Together they lived a quiet, simple life that was more than enough. It was filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished memories. Patsy enjoyed her yearly trips to Door County, where she spent time with family and appreciated the simple joys of life.

Patsy dedicated her career to helping others as a dental hygienist, treating each patient with warmth and care. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Deborah and Susan, always putting their needs first and supporting them with unconditional love. Her nurturing spirit and strength shaped their lives profoundly. Her greatest joy came from her husband Dennis, her daughters Deborah and Susan, and from watching her two granddaughters, Carmen and Vanessa, grow up. After the tragic passing of her daughter Susan in 2004, Patsy stepped in with love and devotion to help raise her granddaughters, giving them the same unwavering care she gave to everyone she loved.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Dennis Brown; her daughter, Deborah Brown; and her granddaughters, Carmen Wolfe and Vanessa Wolfe. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Wolfe (Brown); her brother, David Ryhner; and her parents, Betty and Garland Ryhner. Those who knew Patsy will remember her as a woman who loved deeply, laughed often, and gave endlessly of herself. Her legacy of kindness and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

A visitation will be held on August 25th, 2025, at John J Buettgen Funeral Home, 948 Grand Ave, Schofield WI, from 1:00pm-2:30pm, followed by a memorial service at 2:30pm.

John J. Buettgen Funeral Home is currently assisting the family. Online condolences can be made at HonorOne.com.
