Patsy A. Schickel, 91, of New Albany, IN., passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. She was born on June 03, 1934, in New Albany, IN., to Ernest and Elva Schmitzer.

Patsy was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Church Catholic Church, a long-time member of a local card club and was an enthusiastic antique dealer. Also, she enjoyed working as a sales associate at Walmart for the past 18 years. One of her favorite past times was visiting the casino.

Preceding Patsy in death is her husband, Charles "Sonny" Schickel, and her parents, Ernie and Elva Schmitzer. Family members left to celebrate Patsy's life, carry on her traditions, and cherish her memory are her daughter, Brenda Wilson (David); grandchildren, Brandon Wilson and Amy Malone (Max); and her great-grandchildren, Atlas and Grayson Malone.

A visitation will be held at Naville & Seabrook Oak Street Chapel (1846 E Oak St. New Albany, IN 47150) on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 12:00 pm-5:00 pm. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions in Patsy's honor may be made to Hosparus Amedisys (305 Quartermaster Ct., Jeffersonville, IN. 47130), Wounded Warrior Project (P.O. Box 758516 Topeka, KS. 66675-8516), or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959).
