Patsy Ann Hancock Scott was born on May 29, 1972, to Willie Hancock and Mary Ann (Williams) Newsome Hancock in La Grange, Texas.
She devoted her life to Christ at an early age. She attended several churches before finding her church home at St. James Missionary Baptist Church. Patsy graduated from La Grange High School in 1990. After graduation she went to the Job Corps in San Marcos, Texas to further her education She later worked at Monument Hill as a Certified Nurse's Aide.
Patsy enjoyed baby-sitting for her family and friends. She was known for always helping others and being a socialite, who loved to dance. She always had a bright smile.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Ira Hancock and Mary (Williams) Newsome Hancock. Her husband, LeRoy Scott. One sister, Judy Ann Hancock: One brother, Eddie Lee Newsome: One sister-in-law, Thea Newsome: Maternal grandparents, Rogers and Amanda (Chappell) Williams: Paternal grandparents, Woody and Jewel Hancock: Nephew, Davis Harrison, Jr.: great nephew, Deandre Hancock: Niece, Angelle Williams and brother-in-law, Joseph Williams.
The Lord called her home on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, she leaves to cherish her memory, her loving children, Christopher Hancock,Sr, and wife Jermya and Mary Hancock of La Grange, TX: Her grandchildren, Za" Niyah, Malaysia, Christopher, Jr., and Chrisean Hancock of La Grange, TX: Two brothers, William Newsome and Oscar Newsome of La Grange, TX: Two sisters, Willie Ann (Eddie) Hancock of La Grange, TX and Angela Williams of Houston, TX: Sister-in-law, Vennice Scott of Austin, TX. She is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
