Patsy Myers Sligh, 80, of Newberry, widow of James Donny Sligh, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Born on January 9, 1945, in Newberry, she was daughter of the late Nolan Sam and Minnie Vaughn Myers. Patsy was a member of Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Smilin Swingers and the Good Sam’s Club. She was also a member of the National Square Dance Federation.
Patsy had worked for Midway Oil Company and retired from Mid Carolina High School.
She is survived by a son, James Allen (Lisa) Sligh of Newberry; a daughter, Melissa Sligh (Robert) Dennis of Newberry; grandchildren, Alli Sligh (Jackson) Graham, Madison Dennis (Chris) Fulmer and Clayton Sligh (Jessica) Dennis; great-grandson, Case Graham; sisters, Linda (Steve) Kinard of Newberry and Sandra Hill of Prosperity; a brother, Jerry (Shirley) Myers of Prosperity and special friends, Kenny and Cheri Graham.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church by the Rev. Floyd Sides and the Rev. Arden Hallman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
