Patsy L. Smith, 86, of Anderson, passed away on November 9, 2025 at her home, with her loving family. Patsy was born on February 10, 1939 in Kennett, Missouri to the late Alvin and Jessie (Morrison) Harper. Before graduating from Anderson High School in 1957, Patsy married the love of her life, Victor "Ray" Smith and the two were married for 67 years. She began working for Target (formally known as Ary-Way) in the late 60s and continued working, up until her retirement after 33 years. She found her spiritual home at Columbus Avenue Church of Christ and was a faithful member for many years. She collected porcelain figurines and in her younger years, she enjoyed jumping rope. Patsy enjoyed canning vegetables, riding her bike, and picking wild berries to make cobbler.
Left to cherish her memory is her children, Debra Hart, Danny (Vickie) Smith, and Denise Smith; grandchildren, Brett (Kelly) Hart, Alyssa (Charlie) Miller, Holly (Willie) Smith, Dustin Hawkins, Austin Hawkins, Drew (Cameron) Henderson, and Mariah (Caleb) Taylor; great-grandchildren, Naomi Hart, Michael Hart, Theodore Miller, Lilliana Hart, Eleanor Henderson, Barron Henderson, Dean Taylor and Polly Sue Taylor; sister, Wilma Jean (Kenny) English; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; and sisters, Cona Mae Winkle and Norma Fay Musick.
The visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Patsy's name may be gifted to the church, Columbus Avenue Church of Christ, 4620 Columbus Ave, Anderson, IN 46013.
Patsy's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes.
