Patsy Ruth Williams Pool, lifelong resident of Rochester, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025 in Haskell, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 10:30am, Monday, August 18, 2025 at the Rochester Cemetery with Rev. Tony Grand officiating. Viewing will be from 1:00-5:00pm on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Haskell Funeral Home, 2 Ave D. Condolences may be made at www.haskellfuneralhometx.com.
Patsy was born June 1, 1929 in Rochester, Texas, the daughter of the late Samuel Bennett Williams and Sibyl Olympia Nordyke Williams. On August 1, 1944 she married O.D. Pool in Rule, Texas. He preceded her in death in August of 2016. Patsy devoted many years to secretarial work for Lane Felker and Strickland Bridge. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Rochester. Her favorite pastime was working in the yard, and she was very passionate about collecting things.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and four sisters.
Patsy is survived by nieces Cinda Flanary and Gene of Sagerton, Texas, Doris Owens of Esparto, California, Yvonne Pylman and Marshall of Clarksburg, California, Ellen Orr of Perryton, Texas, Alana Greenwood of Fort Worth, Texas, and Becky Roberts and Ronnie of Lubbock, Texas; nephews, Bill Neely and Linda of Merkel, Texas and Benny Williams and LuAnn of Marble Falls, Texas; numerous great nieces and nephews, extended family and a host of dear friends.
