Born on December 17, 1968, Greg was the oldest son of Charles and Shirley Helms. Greg had many talents as he was a great football player and later served in the National Guard. He worked in the oil field and became a successful consultant. Greg shared his life with Terry Waltermire, until she passed away. She was the love of his life. Greg enjoyed spending time with his dogs, as he took them everywhere he went. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Greg will always be cherished and remembered for his funny stories and tall tales.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Greg is survived by his daughter, Katherine; sisters, Leeann and husband James Hammit; Mellissa and husband Jeff Webb; Kimberly and husband Joseph Butson; brothers, Charles, Jr. and wife Tammy Helms and Roy Layne Helms. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.
