Patsy A. Worcester

Patsy A. Worcester, age 85 of Marion, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024. Patsy was born March 20, 1939 in Albany, Oklahoma to the late Frank and Lessie Tigner. Later the family moved to Bokchito, OK where she grew up on a ranch with her 2 brothers, Billy and Everett.
Patsy graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State as a Registered Nurse. After graduation, she moved to Long Beach, CA as a model. This is where she met her husband Jim who was, at the time, in the United States Marine Corps. Jim and Patsy married July 24, 1966.
In 1970, they moved to Marion, OH where Patsy became great friends with the late Martha Douce Maniaci. Patsy and Martha were the first to raise money for the Veterans Memorial Park.
Patsy owned and operated, Fashion Model, USA. She judged local, state and Miss America preliminaries. She loved to plant flowers in her yard. Her house was featured in the Marion Star and a commercial for Imperial Pools. Patsy also loved watching The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Patsy's compassion and kindness was shown through her love of volunteering. She served as treasurer for several years for Marion Midget Football. She volunteered with the Junior Service Guild Christmas Clearinghouse as chairperson; raising thousands of dollars for children in need.
She is survived by her daughters Jimette Ross and Jonna; Son John Curtis; grandchildren: Jaymes Codi (Jamie) Worcester, Colten Worcester, Wesley Bays, Mason Brammer, Caleb (Michaela) Ross, and Autumn Brammer; great-grandchildren: Elliott, Jaden, Julian, Tony, and Joshua; Close friends Tammy Brammer, Diane Collins and Jodi Rife; and special friends: Valerie Jolley Ward and Victoria Reames.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; husband James T. Worcester (2015); Sons: Rodney Curtis and Cory A. Worcester and brother Everett Tigner.
The family would like to thank Presidential Post Acute and Hospice for her care.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel, 360 East Center St., Marion from 10AM to 12Noon; funeral service will follow at 12Noon; burial will be Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Marion Cemetery at 1PM.
If desired, donations can be made in Patsy's name to Tranquility Hospice, Marion Midget Football, Junior Service Guild, or Marion Area Humane Society.
