Patti Krzyzanski

Patti Rae Krzyzanski, age 64, of Manistique, Michigan, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family and under the care of hospice on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

She was born November 17, 1960, in Manistique, Michigan, the daughter of Kenneth Smith and Julia (Talbot) Smith. Patti was a graduate of Manistique High School and went on to attend Bay College/Lake Superior to later earn her bachelors of business administration.

On February 4, 1989, Patti married David Krzyzanski at St. Francis de Sales in Manistique. She spent much of her working life as a self-employed small business owner operating Campers Market and D.K. Services. She then served as a mail carrier for 10 years in Denver, Colorado. Patti was a member of St. Francis de Sales and was also a member of the Sault Tribe.

Patti enjoyed traveling through the Colorado mountains, the sunshine of the southern states during the wintertime, attending rodeos, golfing, bowling and walking the boardwalk. She will be remembered by family and friends for her cheerful spirit, strength and caring nature.

Survivors include her husband, David Krzyzanski of Manistique; daughters Nicole (Andy) Fuson and Katy (Chad) Gould of Manistique; sisters and brothers Mary Wood, Robert (Andrea) Smith, and Peggy (Steve) Creeden, all of the Manistique area; grandchildren Addison, Kenneth and Chad Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother David Smith, Brother-in-law Joe Wood, and granddaughter Anna Gould.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society in Patti's memory.

Visitation will be held at Fausett Family Funeral Home on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. A tribal memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., followed by a service conducted by Fr. Ben.
