Rudolph Evonich Jr.

Rudolph "Rudy" Francis Evonich Jr., 79, of Manistique, Mich., passed away unexpectedly Monday, November. 3, 2025, at his home.

He was born Oct. 22, 1946, in Manistique, the son of the late Rudolph Francis Evonich and Helen (Smith) Evonich. Rudy was a graduate of Manistique High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. For more than five decades, Rudy owned and operated Rudy & Son Coin Machine, a longtime local business. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales, was active in local veterans' organizations, serving as quartermaster of the VFW and as a member of the Elks. Rudy enjoyed camping, working with machines, flying, motorcycles, and photography.

On Oct. 21, 1972, he married Terri (Fiegel) Evonich; she survives of Manistique. He is also survived by two children, Rudy (Laurie) Evonich of Green Bay Wi, and Jill (Scott) Thomas of Marquette and his grandchildren, Lilli and Rudy IV. He also leaves mother-in-law Helen Fiegel, sister-in-law Jane (Gary) Salo, and his sister-in-law Fran Fiegel. As well as other extended family and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Evonich, and his father, Rudolph F. Evonich. Brother-in-law Bob Fiegel, and his father-in-law Richard Fiegel.

Visitation will be held at Fausett Family Funeral Home in Manistique on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025. Public visitation will begin at 11 a.m., with a military service at 2 p.m, and a memorial service to follow. Father Ben will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery at 3pm.
