Patty Jo Buford, 91, of Troy, formerly of Warrenton, MO, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025. She was born on November 13, 1933 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Orville and Sarah Earline Toler. Patty Jo attended the local schools, along with her siblings. She met and later married Donald Ray Buford on April 18, 1953. To this union were born three sons: Mike, Gary and David. Patty Jo was an excellent homemaker and also baked beautiful wedding cakes for her family and friends. While the kids were growing up, she worked in the Fort Zumwalt School District in the cafeteria. Donald and Patty Jo loved traveling together and attending all their children and grandchildren's events. They were devoted members of Big Springs Baptist Church and went on two mission trips to Romania. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. Patty Jo is described by her family as, "Energetic, active, and very kind and loving." Patty Jo will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her three sons: Mike and wife Jan Buford of Troy, MO, Gary and wife Rena Buford of Troy, MO and David Buford of Placentia, CA, grandchildren, Shannon (Julie) Buford, Meghan (Jay) Boaz, Kyle (Corey) Buford, Nathan Buford, Shelby (Ed) Smock, Leah (Derrick) Peak and Danielle Buford, great-grandchildren: Deacon and Rigsby Boaz and Elise Buford, many other relatives and friends.

Patty Jo was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Donald Buford and her two siblings, Gene Toler and Richard Embree.

Visitation to be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO, 63379, 636-528-8244.

A memorial service to be held at 1:00 p.m., also on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, at the funeral home in Troy. Brother Tom Bray to officiate.
