Patricia "Patty" Cox Hampton Roloff, 97, of Oklahoma City, passed away on October 26, 2024. A pioneering female executive in professional baseball and respected business leader, Patty is credited as saving professional baseball in Oklahoma City when she purchased the 89ers Baseball team in 1978. Patty also made it to the “big leagues” when she served as Executive Vice President of the Chicago Cubs from 1982 thru 1984.
Patty's impact extended far beyond baseball. She served on numerous executive boards including, First Interstate-Boatmen's Bank, Bank of America, the Oklahoma Tourism Department, Allied Arts, Presbyterian Hospital, and the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce. A member of Crossings Community Church, Patty also served as a past deacon, elder, and board member of First Christian Church in Oklahoma City.
