Paul Arveson Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Helgeson Funeral Home - Roseau on May 22, 2024.
Paul Eddie Arveson, 45, passed unexpectedly doing what he loved. He was full of life and wisdom, there was never a dull moment when Paul was around. He was loved by all, and meant so much to everyone in his life.
When Paul was young his sense of adventure and thrills started early. He had a need for speed and enjoyed jumping his bike into the river as soon as the ice cleared! He had a passion for sports. He played hockey in his youth and then switched to football when hockey cut into his hunting and fishing.
Paul graduated from Warroad High School in 1997 and started working at Marvin's on the loading dock. He then started working for NPI with his cousin Matt Sjulstad and enjoyed life.
In 2009 he fell in love with his best friend Vanessa. They were inseparable from the start. With her came 2 children which he instantly loved.
Paul started at Arctic Cat in 2012 in the welding department and found a new love and adventure. He was there for 9 years and then moved on to lock and load, which turned into his dream job of being able to weld all of the time.
Through the years Paul has always had his best friends by his side, Matt Quaife, Gus Holm, Jonah Isaacson, Bora Seirey, and Jason Mather, who eventually became his brother-in-law. They spent their time hanging out hunting and fishing.
In his time with Vanessa they had 2 more wonderful children, including Tristin who was 5 years old when Paul came into the picture. They were 2 peas in a pod. Cambria was just 2 months old and they have been inseparable ever since. They welcomed Aliyanna in October 2013 and she has been his buddy. Nixon was welcomed in April 2017.
Paul is survived by his wife of 9 years Vanessa, sons Tristin and Nixon, daughters Cambria and Aliyanna of Thief River Falls; his parents Loren and Barb Arveson of Warroad; sister Melissa (Steve) Engstrom and nieces Jordan (Cory) Hagen and Abbie, and nephew Jacob of Thief River Falls; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Verner and Mildred Arveson, Josephine Klasen and Andrew Klasen; cousins Billy Klasen, Steve Klasen and Andy Klasen; and uncle Cliff Swanson.
