Paul Bailey, a beloved figure in the Sebring community and the owner of Paul Bailey Ford for 50 years, passed away on July 10, 2025, at the age of 83 in Sebring, Ohio. Born on December 4, 1941, in New Philadelphia, Ohio, Paul dedicated his life to both his family and his career, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to service.
A graduate of New Philadelphia Schools, Paul's journey was marked by significant accomplishments. He was a former member of the Sebring VFW and served for over 40 years as a board member at Copeland Oaks, where he made enduring contributions to the wellbeing of his community. Paul was also a long time member of his local Rotary Club. His proudest accomplishment was his tenacity; no matter the difficulties he faced, he always refused to give up the fight.
Paul was known not only as a businessman but also as a loving family man. He is survived by his devoted wife, Emily (Haller) Bailey, whom he married in 1961. Together, they raised a family that continued to thrive under his guidance. Their daughter Dianna (John) Lair, along with his grandson Matthew (Leah) Furgiuele and great-grandchildren Beckham and Cameron Furgiuele, are part of the legacy of love and support that Paul fostered throughout his life. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Hockenberry, sister-in-law Mary Anne Bailey, brother-in-law Bud Haller and several nieces and nephews.
Paul enjoyed many hobbies, including golfing and taking special trips with friends, but his favorite moments were spent surrounded by family. He created lasting memories that will be cherished forever.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Ruth (Sickles) Bailey, and five siblings: Bonnie Youngen, Betty West, Joann Robinson, Dale Bailey, and Jack Bailey.
Visitation will take place on July 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a memorial service from 12:00 PM with Paul Freer officiating at Gednetz-Ruzek -Brown Funeral Home, located at 126 W Vermont Ave, Sebring, OH 44672. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Paul's memory. Friends and family may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
