Paul L. Bartolo, 73, of Fort Lee,formerly of Maplewood, passed away on October 17, 2022.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Paul was the son of Joseph and Theresa Bartolo. Paul began his career as a marine insurance underwriter with the American Hull Insurance Syndicate in the mid 70's. After a period of training he moved to other boutique companies such as American Marine Insurance Group, CRB Management, Swiss Re and Zurich where Paul concluded a very successful career underwriting some of the largest fleets in the world, including all the major cruise lines, for approximately 30 years. Paul loved to play golf and collect sports cars.
Paul is lovingly survived by his daughter, Blair Scrudato and her husband Michael; his grandchildren, Parker and Peyton; his sisters, Donna Martin and her husband Raymond, and Susan Bartolo; and his brother, Mark Bartolo and his wife Rita. He was predeceased by his brother, Bill Bartolo.
Memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:30 pm Sunday, October 23 at the funeral home. A memorial service will conclude the visitation at 3:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory to the American Heart Association or National Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated by his family.
