Paul Douglas Beazer

Paul Douglas Beazer passed away suddenly on August 27, 2021; cause of death is unknown.

He was born November 16, 1942 to Audrey Dalton Beazer and Roy Beazer, who were one of the first settlers of Syracuse, Utah. Paul was born, raised, and lived in Syracuse, Utah his entire life.

In June 1963, Paul married Elaine Louise McKinnon, and were married for 30 years. They had two beautiful children. Jodi Michelle Hess (Shane) and Brandon Paul Beazer (Eden). He has five grandchildren: Chaella (James) Stockstill, Royce Oliver, Kyler Hess, Bowdie (Nina) Hess, and Tatsu Beazer; and eight great grandchildren: Arian, Kaiden, Korbin, Owen, Brodie, Emmori, Addilyn, and Luke.

In September 1995, Paul married Reva M. Searle and they were married until she passed away in September 2004. She brought with her seven wonderful children. Karen (David) Brandon, Angie (Mark) Sanders, Kevin Widdison (deceased), Kami Mayfield, Todd Mayfield, Lisa Mayfield, and Jed Mayfield (deceased). 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

In May 2006, Paul married Ida Lynn Davis. They had a happy marriage and Ida took great care of Paul. They owned a store called Jake and Jeds (after their donkeys) at the Freeport Center, and they ran it together for many years. She brought along one amazing child Ida Ann Sutton; two grandchildren, Bradley Sutton and Mariah Sutton, and three great grandchildren Rylee, Zayden, and Ryder.

Paul work as a mason with his brother, Gary Beazer, for many years. He then made his way to the Davis Hospital Medical Center as the Chief Maintenance engineer for 32 years.

He also was part of the Davis County Sheriff's Posse and his love for horses shined throughout his life. After he retired from the hospital, he made a hobby of making things out of horse shoes.

He also, loved going to the sand dunes and riding his sand rail and dune buggie, which he built with his own to hands.

He loved to work with his hands, and he could fix anything and make anything.

He took pride in his yard, and loved to grow a garden. His tomatoes were the best home grown tomatoes around! His children and grandchildren loved to play around in the garden, running through the corn, and having rotten tomato fights in the fall.

He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren so much. He loved to sit out on his bench and watch them play on the swing set.

He loved his dogs more than life itself. Gomer, Corky, Boomer, and Rowdy. He loved taking them on rides on his golf cart. You could often find him and his dogs taking a stroll down the road.

Paul was a very humble and kind man. He enjoyed his life and everything it had to offer. He will be dearly missed by all of those that loved him.

He is proceeded in death, by both of his parents, and all of his siblings and others that were dear to his heart.

He is survived by his wife Ida Lynn, his mother in law Ida Davis, his two children, six step children, 28 grandchildren, and 38 great grandchildren.

Graveside services only will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 2:00pm at the Syracuse Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please take your family out to dinner in celebration of Paul.
