Philmore Beazer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartwright Funeral Home - Randolph on Jan. 1, 2026.
Philmore Sylvester Beazer was born on September 29, 1956, in Antigua, West Indies, the second of four children of the late Benson Henry Beazer and Myrl (Forde) Beazer. He received his early education at Antigua Grammar School in St. John's, Antigua.
In 1979, Philmore migrated to the United States to pursue higher education. He attended Suffolk University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a master's degree in accounting. He was also a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Massachusetts and North Carolina.
Philmore was introduced to God at a very early age by his mother and was baptized into the Parham Seventh-day Adventist Church fellowship in Antigua at the age of twelve. He was an ardent believer in God.
After migrating to Massachusetts, he promptly transferred his membership to the Berea Seventh-day Adventist Church in Boston, and later to the Braintree Seventh-day Adventist Church. Philmore was faithful to the work of God and lived a life of unwavering faith until the end.
In 1981, he met his beloved wife, Kerline Laurent, and they were married on June 8, 1985. Their union was blessed with two children: Khalil and Hasaan, and later, he joyfully adopted his great-niece, Sontee.
Philmore - graciously known to friends and family as Phil - was a devoted husband and father. He was a man of integrity and character, always prioritizing the well-being and success of his family.
He worked at The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for over 30 years, protecting investors and enforcing federal securities laws. As one of his colleagues commented, "he was quite knowledgeable and was someone who shared his wisdom, kindness and love for life so freely."
Phil had many passions, including gardening, cricket, track and field. Athletic and energetic, he enjoyed playing soccer, running marathons, and spending time at the gym. He also served as a positive role model, sharing good values with family and friends and giving generously wherever there was a need.
Philmore faced his final illness with courage and dignity, rarely complaining and always displaying integrity throughout the challenges he encountered. On December 22, 2025, he succumbed to his illness, leaving behind many wonderful memories cherished by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Visitation and Funeral Service on Sunday, January 4, 2026, beginning at 9:30 AM in the Hyde Park Seventh Day Adventist Church, 6 Webster St., Hyde Park. Burial will follow in the Central Cemetery, Randolph.
Arrangements under the care of the Cartwright Funeral Home, Randolph, www.cartwrightfuneral.com.

The say there is a reason
They say that time will heal
But neither time nor reason
Will change the way we feel
For no one knows the heartache
That lies behind our smiles
No one knows how many times
We have broken down and cried
We want to tell you something
So there won't be any doubt
You are so wonderful to think of
But so hard to be without.

We will miss you our beloved brother-in-law. Continue to rest in paradise until we meet again. Love Riolla and Marc Sejourne

Hello family, friends, and guests.
My name is Riolla Riobe-Sejourne, and I am Kerline´s younger sister.
I have known Philmore since I was seven years old. I was the flower girl
at Kerline and Philmore´s wedding, so he has truly been a part of my life
for as long as I can remember.
Philmore was the epitome of a good man. I loved him dearly, and I am
truly going to miss calling him to ask random questions about everything
under the sun-because he always had an answer. Whether it was
finances, retirement investments, taxes, plumbing, or ideas for things we
wanted to do around the house, Philmore was knowledgeable in all
things.
There was never a question I asked that he couldn´t answer. He never
said, "I´ll get back to you." He would explain things patiently and
thoroughly, and if needed, explain them again just to make sure I fully
understood. That was just who he was.
Philmore did things for others wholeheartedly and never expected
anything in return. He was generous with his time, his wisdom, and his
heart. He took great pride in his landscaping-his grass was always so
green and full. He was a hard worker, always doing something, always
improving, always caring. I often wondered where he got the energy. He
loved his family deeply and truly believed in helping family.
Philmore and Kerline were truly a match made in heaven. They are what
young folks call "couple goals." Forty-years of marriage is a long time,
and when you add the three years they spent together before that, it is
clear that their love was deep, strong, and enduring.
I pray that the Lord gives Kerline the strength to continue pushing
forward, because that is exactly what Philmore would want her to do.
I pray that my beloved brother rests in paradise. While we wish he could
still be here with us, we find comfort in knowing that he is no longer
suffering.

Lastly, I want to say this: may we all learn from Philmore and live our
lives in a way that honors God and serves others wholeheartedly. As the
Bible says in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished
my course, I have kept the faith." Philmore did just that. He ran his race
well, and his legacy will continue to live on through all of us.

My sincere condolences to Kerline and the rest of the family. Phil was truly a remarkable man who leaves a wonderful legacy. It was a privilege to have known and served with him at the Braintree Church.

Our deepest sympathies to the Beazer Family. May you find comfort in the memories and especially in the soon return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Oh, how we long for and look forward to that great reunion when we and our loved ones will be together, once again, praising the Lord, never more to part! Until then, your family remains in our prayers!
Sleep on my friend, see you on that glorious day.
