Paul W. Blood, lovingly known as “Papa” and “Uncle Paul”, passed away on October 20, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born on January 20, 1942, in Pepperell, MA, a town that he loved dearly. Paul was a generous, loyal, and hardworking individual who dedicated 42 years of his life to Pepperell's Highway Department. He also contributed to his family's business, "Pepperell Trucking," and worked on his Uncle Ernie's farm in his younger days. Paul was always there for his family and friends, o ering a helping hand, providing transportation, or simply visiting to brighten their day. His nieces and nephews regarded him as a second father, and his daughter and stepdaughters cherished him as the greatest dad. Paul had a remarkable sense of humor that could always bring laughter to those around him. He possessed an innate ability to fix anything and constantly sought innovative ways to improve tasks. Paul was also an active member of the Warren Veteran Fireman’s Association.     Paul is survived by his daughter, Christine (Blood) Coutu and husband Jean of Townsend, MA; His grandchildren: Brian Coutu and wife Kerrie of Clinton MA, Kimberly (Coutu) Mitton and husband Tim of Westminster MA, Kyle Coutu, and wife Kayla of Gardner MA; Great-Grandchildren: Aiden, Declan, Cullin Coutu, Piper, Millie, Norah Mitton, Emmett, and Jamisen Coutu. Paul’s 2nd marriage blessed him with a bonus family of daughters: Teresa (Forrest) Wilson, Nicole (Forrest) Boston, and Alicia (Forrest) Rondeau; along with grandchildren: Annette Thomann, Anthony Raneri, Samantha Rhinehardt, Coltt Boston, Ryan Rondeau, Meg Rondeau; Great-grandchildren: Catrina Mutters, Jake Thomann, Deena Thomann, and Michael Boston. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews: Linda, Susan, Gerry, Doug, Dan, Kevin, Sandra, Milton, Brian, and Rebecca. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Lester Blood, mother, Lillian (Bouchard) Blood, stepmother Pearl, as well as his brothers Raymond, Gerry, and Milton, his 1st wife Carolyn (Liles) (Blood) (Kierstead) Linn, and his 2nd wife Carole (Moxcey) (Forrest) Blood.  

Visiting hours for Paul will be held on Saturday, November 4th at McGa gan Funeral Home, 37 Main St., (Rte. 113) Pepperell MA from 1 – 4 PM. Following, there will be a gathering from 4:30PM to 6:30PM at the Pepperell VFW Post 3291, 55 Leighton, St. Pepperell MA.

 

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Lifecare Center of Nashoba Valley Resident Activity Fund, 191 Foster St., Littleton, MA 01460. Paul spent the last 10 months of his life there being lovingly cared for by all of their sta He will be sorely missed there as well.

 
Paul W. Blood will forever be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his community and family, for his sense of humor, and his loving presence in the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
