Barbara Ann (Kirin) Divoll, age 80, a longtime resident of Pepperell, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 21, 2025, at the Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley. Born September 25, 1944, in Medford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Jr., and Dorothy (Collins) Kirin.
Barbara spent her early years in Billerica before her family moved to Pepperell. She attended Pepperell High School and graduated from North Middlesex Regional High School with the class of 1962, where she was a member of the glee club.
In 1966, Barbara met her husband, Bruce L. Divoll. They were married on October 7, 1972, at St. Joseph’s Church in Pepperell. The pair moved to Lunenburg briefly before returning to Pepperell, and together they raised two children, Marc and Julie.
Barbara worked as a healthcare administrator at the former Groton Hospital and Nashoba Community Hospital. In her later years, she drove for Dee Bus and worked as a bus monitor. Along the way, she balanced her responsibilities as an involved and devoted mother and grandmother – babysitting, chaperoning field trips, and being there for special family moments.
Barbara enjoyed crocheting and knitting, as well as camping trips with family and friends, especially to Portsmouth, RI, New Boston, and Myrtle Beach. She loved all things Winnie the Pooh, with family trips to Disney holding special memories.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of over 52 years, Bruce L. Divoll of Pepperell; son Marc Divoll and wife Kelly of Newfields, NH; daughter Julie Fuertes and husband Dean of Fitchburg; grandchildren Marc Divoll Jr., Theresa Bertogli, Kayla Healey, and Madison Berthiaume; six great-grandchildren; sister Diane Moquin and late husband Leonard of Fitchburg; brother Paul Kirin III and wife Diane of Peppperell; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Nancy Genzy of Georgia and Jean Toney of Vermont.
