Eileen Cobleigh (formerly Lamoureux) was born on November 18, 1956, and passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025 in Bangor, Maine, after courageously facing complications from Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis and early-onset dementia. She was surrounded in love by her daughter, Megan Harvey, her granddaughter, Zoey Harvey, and the compassionate caregivers at Westgate Center for Rehabilitation & Alzheimer's Care. Eileen grew up in
Townsend, Massachusetts and graduated from North Middlesex Regional High School in 1974. She later moved to Westford, Massachusetts, where she began raising her family. During her daughter's childhood, she dedicated herself to being a stay-at-home mother, before returning to work as a talented and successful bookkeeper. She lived life with joy and energy, cherishing walks with friends, volleyball games, camping trips, going to the beach, and traveling. One of her most treasured adventures was visiting England, where she delighted in exploring historic sites. She also loved visiting the Caribbean to soak the sun in on beaches. Eileen was a proud member of the Franco American Club, where she built lasting friendships and enjoyed a vibrant social life. Dancing and music were her passions, and they remained with her through every stage of life. After being diagnosed with Primary Progressive MS in 2007, Eileen became an active member of the MS Society, finding both support and purpose in raising awareness. She worked passionately to help others understand the challenges of living with an often-invisible illness, fostering compassion and connection wherever she could. In 2017, Eileen moved to Maine to be closer to her beloved granddaughter. Her final years were filled with concerts, music, laughter, and the joy of family. At Westgate Center, she was cherished for her radiant positivity, her singing, dancing, and even her cheerful whistling. She touched countless lives with her warmth and spirit, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience. Eileen is survived by her daughter, Megan Harvey; her granddaughter, Zoey Harvey; her brother, Thomas Lamoureux; and her sister, Lisa Fulmer. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Leona Lamoureux, and her brothers, Richard and James Lamoureux. Eileen's passion for supporting the MS Society lives on; in her memory, contributions to the organization are welcomed instead of flowers. Her life was a dance, and though the music has changed, her rhythm of joy carries on in all who knew and loved her. Eileen's family will receive relatives and friends at calling hours 4-6 PM Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street (Rte 119) Townsend Center. There will be a Mass held on October 10, 2025 at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 1 School St., Townsend.
