Paul Bowers Obituary
Paul Ray Bowers, 68, of Sylva, passed away on Tuesday November 11, 2025. He was born on September 17, 1957 in Florida to the late Floyd and Reva Kinsland Bowers.
Paul enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his wife of 49 years, Michelle Bowers; daughters, Nicole Welch (June), Danielle McKenzie (Sani); grandchildren, Boss Welch, Luca McKenzie; sister, Polly Meek; brother, James Bowers; aunts, Susan Winchester and Vivadeen Kinsland; and uncle, Drake Bowers. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his sisters, Mitzie Bowers, Faye Bowers; and a brother, David Bowers.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday November 15, 2025 in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
