Paul K. Brown, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on March 4, 1961, in Louisville, Paul dedicated much of his life to career as a computer programmer, where his skills and determination were evident in every project he undertook.
Paul's personality was marked by his steadfastness and kindness; his family and friends knew they could always count on him. He demonstrated an unwavering willingness to help others, a trait that endeared him to many. His love for his family was profound, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a proud father and grandfather, relishing family gatherings filled with laughter and joy.
An enthusiastic cook, Paul found joy in preparing meals that brought loved ones together. His hobbies included hiking, enjoying the beach, and nurturing his garden with flowers and vegetables. A connoisseur of bourbon and desserts, he took pride in growing grapes and making his own wine. In his early years, he showcased his musical talents by playing the saxophone, piano, and guitar.
Paul is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen Brown; daughter, Taressa Riley and her husband Greg; grandchildren, Justin Ottersbach and his wife Emily, Jenna Riley, Jaxson Riley, and Samantha Haggard and her husband Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Lillian, Olivia, Willow, and Maveric; and sister, Deborah Henderson and her husband Mike. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul V. Brown and Maude Richardson Brown, and his sister, Colleen Gaskill.
The family will hold visitation services at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243. The first visitation will be on February 27, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a second visitation on February 28, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will take place on the same day, February 28, 2025, at 5:00 PM to honor Paul's legacy and the impact he had on the lives of those who loved him.
Paul K. Brown will be remembered fondly for his warm spirit, dedication to family, and the indelible mark he left on his loved ones.
