Paul Burdick Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 19, 2011.
Paul Burdick died on May 19th with his loved ones close by. Everyone that knew Paul knew him as laid back, easy-going, relaxed. He walked to his own beat. More accurately, he strolled. And he always strolled in his Birkenstocks. He didn’t travel much, he got all of his traveling done while serving in the Peace Corps. He loved jazz, books, computers, and of course soccer. But most of all he loved his family. Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. His family was his passion and reason for living, and it is because of the family that he worked so hard to build and keep strong that those that those he left behind will make it through this difficult time. Paul is survived by his wife Deborah, daughter Sarah, son Patrick and his wife Cassandra, his grandson E.B., his parents Janet and Earl Burdick, and his sister Christine Burdick, and father and mother-in-law Donald and Doris Formby, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A casual service will be held at University of the Pacific Morris Chapel Thursday May 26th at 3:00 p.m and reception to follow in the Regent’s Dining Room. Paul was an employee of the University and always enjoyed being on campus. The family asks that in leu of flowers or gifts, a donation in Paul’s name be sent to the School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of the Pacific.
