Paul Cote, 72, passed away in the early morning hours on August 28, 2024. He was born to Paul and Joyce (Hewett) Cote on September 4, 1951.

Paul went to the University of Iowa and received his bachelor’s degree in business administration. He was a member of the first Iowa Hawkeye Big 10 championship wrestling team and achieved All-American honors. He continued his passion for wrestling as an assistant coach at Appleton East.

He met his wife, Jane, in 1973 while attending the University of Iowa. They loved spending time with family and friends, especially at the cabin. Paul loved to spend time with his boys hunting and fishing. He was passionate about his many hobbies.

Paul spent his entire professional career at Farm Credit Services in various executive positions. Some of his fondest memories included his former co-workers and life-long friends. Paul's storytelling and sense of humor made him loved by so many.

Paul is survived by his wife Jane, 3 sons: Tad Cote, Jake (Brittany) Cote, Nate Cote, grandchild Barrett Paul, and siblings Lisa (Dave) Lien, Mary Carmen, and Luke (Sue) Cote.

He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Joyce.

A special thank you to Pauls’ care team at the Mayo Clinic, ThedaCare, the first responders and Ascension/St. Elizabeth emergency room staff. Paul will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Paul on Saturday, September 14th will be from 12:30-2:30pm at Holiday Pub & Grill in Neenah WI.
