Julie Ann Franzen

56, Appleton, passed away on Friday August 29th, 2025, in Appleton. Julie was born on April 28th, 1969, to James Franzen and Linda (Kuberth) Franzen in Appleton. Julie Graduated from Appleton West High School in 1987. She was in Quality Control at Fox Valley Spring/MW Components in Greenville, WI. Prior to her career in quality control, she worked in hospitality, as a waitress, bartender, hostess and bar manager. In the 90's Julie had a friend in Louisville, KY who invited her to be part of a crew filming events for the Kentucky Derby. She did this for several years then decided to move to Louisville. She spent 20 years there before moving back to Appleton in 2018. Animals and music were her two passions in life. Julie loved music from the 70's, 80's and beyond. She was a cat person and had a true love for all animals.

Julie is survived by her father James Franzen, (bonus mom) Judith Frzanzen, stepfather, Vincent Brandt, stepsisters: Cindy Nadke and Lori Robbins; uncle and aunts: Jim and Sandy Busch, Karen Liebergen, cousins: John Jahnel, Mike Jahnel and Jeneen Liebergen.

Julie's kids with fur: Loki, Lela and Maya, and very special friends: Andy and Mary Williams.

Julie was preceded in death by her mother Linda Brandt, grandparents Mary Jane MacDonald, Richard and Hazel Kuberth, aunts and uncles Andy & Judy Jahnel, Mary Erdahl, John Liebergen stepbrother Randy Strope, and her beloved Cat Little Man.

Visitation will be held on Thursday September 18, 2025, from 4 to 6 pm, at Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel at 606 N Oneida St Appleton, WI. A Memorial service will follow the visitation. All donations to be donated to the Outagamie County Humane Society in memory of Julie.
