Paul A. Curley Sr., a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, Paul spent most of his life in East Boston before moving with his family to Revere, where he continued to build a life rooted in love, laughter, and tradition.

Paul was most at home on the water—whether lobster fishing alongside his son or casting a line with family and friends. The ocean was his sanctuary, a place where he found joy, peace, and connection. His deep respect for the sea and the memories he created there will be treasured by all who knew him.

He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Theresa Curley of Revere. Paul was the proud father of Tracey Ritucci and her husband Phillip Ritucci of Billerica, and Paul Curley Jr. and his partner Chris Jackson of Revere. Known lovingly as “Papa,” he adored his grandson Domenic Ritucci, who brought him endless pride and happiness.

Paul is survived by his siblings John Curley Sr. and his wife Gerry, Isabell Marcom, and Mark Curley. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews who will forever remember his warmth and humor. He was preceded in death by his siblings Marylou Gunter, William Curley Dorothy Farrell, Richard Curley, Robert Curley, and Marguerite McGrail.

Paul will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and the unwavering love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the stories, traditions, and values he passed down.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor his memory by spending time with loved ones near the water—a place he cherished most.

A funeral service for Paul will be held Monday, June 23, 2025, 9:00AM at Paul Buonfiglio & Sons Funeral Home 128 Revere Street, Revere, MA, followed by a Funeral mass held at 11:00AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach Street, Revere, MA. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn in Peabody.
